MicroPunch Line

MicroPunch is a green needling technology for the production of lightweights with similar characteristics to hydroentangled nonwovens. A big advantage is the reduction of power installed up to ca. 75%. This production line is particularly suitable for processing fine fibres of polypropylene, polyester, and viscose.

A MicroPunch line contains three Cyclopunch needlelooms with a circular needlebeam kinematic, even sensitive hygiene nonwovens can be transported through the needlezone (sehr verzugsarm?). Due to the high needle density of up to approx. 900 stitches/cm², a very good surface quality, and strength is achieved. Needle insertion and exchange are made through the new needle module X22, which contains 22 specialty needles per module. The module mounting by sliding into the container board is possible at 15 min/m of board length, in a few hours for a complete line consisting of 3 needlelomms in a row.

The MicroPunch line can be completed with our Vector-Quadro-Card and Hyperlayer HL for hygiene and medical nonwovens, which must have a higher tensile strength in CD. With the HyperLayer HLSC, a light web can be laid in just two double layers at maximum speeds.
