Natural fibre and mineral fibre nonwovens

Due to good mechanical characteristics and the recycling capability needlefelts of natural fibres are used more and more in the automotive sector. Blending with thermoplastic fibres allows a thermal fixation. This results in very light components with a high weight saving potential.

 

Natural fibre felts are used more and more as geotextiles. They are used as a temporary slope reinforcement until plant roots take over this task. The material is bio-degradable and no plastics are released to the soil.

Special machines and line configurations (LinLine) of DiloTemafa are the basis for the production of these needlefelts. When processing natural fibres, the wiring and roller adjustments in the card have to be adapted. Furthermore, the increased dust creation is controlled by special dedusting systems.
