Papermachine felts
DILO's papermachine needlelooms (PMF) are the largest textile machines in the world with a working width of up to 16 m and a total weight exceeding 900 tonnes.
Papermachine felts are used in the dewatering process during paper production as press felts. They consist of a carrier fabric and multiple fibre web layers. Such a belt can be 100 m long. They are produced as an endless felt to avoid markings in the paper due to joints.
