Needlefelts are used in the car as decorative material due to their low weight and high tear resistance. Several needling passages result in an even surface and a very good fibre binding.
The fibre preparation equipment of DiloTemafa opens the fibre, assures a good blending and results in the desired proportions of the fibre components. The card feeder (vibration chute feeder RS) forms from the fibre flocks a very even and compact mat. A belt weigher or a radiography unit keep the flock mat weight constant. Two subsequent card/crosslapping processes ensure excellent colour blending. In the card (VectorQuadroCard) the fibres are opened further. Compression rollers at the lower doffer result in a voluminous web. A three-apron layer (DL) assures a precise matching of the edges and a web laydown free of wrinkles. A CV1-A web profile regulating system is used to achieve a more regular needlefelt. This results in a reduction of the median area weight and in fibre savings. High stichting densities create an abrasion-resistant fabric.
